Gandhi's
Talisman
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt,
or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following
test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest person
whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you
contemplate is going to be of any use to them. Will they
gain anything by it? Will it restore them to a control over
their own life and destiny?
In other words, will it lead to swaraj [freedom] for the
hungry and spiritually starving millions?
Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."
- One of the last
notes left behind by Gandhi in 1948.
History of Feed Them With Music
Feed Them With Music was born on the 17th
of June in 2007. It’s founder Paul Frantzich is one
of The Brothers Frantzich www.brothersf.com
who are traveling, sacred-folk, performers
with a vision of feeding souls with songs and bodies with
meals.
While volunteering at Feed
My Starving Children, one of the finest global distributors
of food,
an idea walked into Paul & Tim’s brains and rang
a bell. It said,
“It wouldn’t be impossible to connect your
love of singing and making music
to feeding the starving.”
A year later…Paul & Tim jumped into Feed Them
With Music with over10 years experience
creating music programs for several of America’s largest
retailers.
One of the programs has been called “The most successful
music programs in retail history”. That program alone
sold 10’s of millions of CDs while Paul was leading
the creative at the Minneapolis MN based business.
During that decade Paul learned and refined the skills needed
to produce custom music
for mass distribution. He left corporate life in June of
2006 to pursue his own music with his brother Tim. They’ve
performed continuously since then across the US and UK.
In June of 2007 Feed Them With Music posted it’s first
website which featured the music of
The Brothers Frantzich. At that same time Stuart
Flake, one of the finest designers in America
join the Feed Them Family.
In the first year of operating (2007) The Brothers Frantzich’s
efforts at performances and poetry workshops generated enough
revenue to distribute nearly 50,000 meals! The news of their
efforts spread and other artists began asking how they could
participate
in the Feed Them With Music Mission.
Today, FTWM has released its first 2 CDs, available for
both physical purchase and download. There’s talk
of concerts, tours and even a coffee roaster providing Feed
Them With Coffee!
It’s a love fest and we ask all who read this to take
a moment
to imagine what this could become…there’s real
power it that.
Feeding the world with a song,
